Maria Rita’s style is defined by elegance. Her polished compositions are characterised by a sophisticated, tasteful, and captivating use of colour that is lush and refined.

She first picked up a camera at the age of 8, returning to photography years later after studying Fashion Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Lisbon, where she discovered her passion for blending fashion and photography. She spent three years in London working as a high-end retoucher for leading magazines and photographers before returning to Portugal.

Her aesthetic moves between the minimalist and the theatrical, driven by the challenge of creating beauty through space and light. Within this interplay between fashion and portraiture, she found her signature voice.

Her client list includes Levi’s, Nike, El Corte Inglés, Replay, Vodafone, Samsung, and Fnac, and her work has appeared in publications such as Konfekt, Fucking Young!, Máxima, Scala Regia, and Schön Magazine.
